We're gearing up for an action-packed few weeks with major events and valuable resources lined up for you! Prismatic will be at the Chief Product Officer Summit and SaaStr Annual in September, where our team will share insights on turning integrations into a core competency and boosting customer stickiness.

We're also excited to bring you more resources, including a specification template, new connectors and a blog on crafting outcome-driven roadmaps. We look forward to connecting with you at these events and helping you elevate your integration strategy!

Spotlight

Chief Product Officer Summit

Prismatic will be at the Chief Product Officer Summit in San Francisco on September 4-5. Don't miss our own Marcus Edgington, VP of Product, as he shares insights on making integrations a core competency through strategic planning, reusability, and visibility – key to meeting today's customer expectations.

SaaStr Annual 2024

As if September wasn't busy enough, we're also heading to SaaStr Annual the 10th-12th! Stop by our booth to see our code-native building experience in action and talk about your integration goals.

Don't miss our session with Anthony Owens, CRO, and Libby Stengel, VP of Customer Success, where they'll discuss how understanding use cases and smooth Sales-to-CS transitions can drive customer stickiness.

Book time here to meet with Libby at the show, and if you don't have a ticket yet, reach out to Libby at libby.stengel@prismatic.io for a complimentary pass. Tickets are limited, so act fast!

Best practices for onboarding your new employees to Prismatic

Onboarding new employees to your existing toolset can be a significant lift. Prismatic offers docs, tutorials, and example integrations to quickly get new members of your team up to speed on the platform and building integrations with either our low-code or code-native experiences.

To get started, you should first invite the new employee to your existing tenant as an organization user. Users can be added and roles and permissions set via the web app, CLI, or API. If you have multiple regions (e.g. US/EU/AP), users will need to be invited to each. And if you have multiple tenants in the same region (e.g. prod/dev in the US stack), they will need unique email addresses for each environment. Prismatic supports email +aliases and we recommend this approach: first.last@company.co, first.last+dev@company.co.

If you use single sign-on (SSO), your team members will be redirected to your identity provider from the login screen if they enter an email address that matches your domain. If you are interested in adding SSO to your organization, please reach out to Prismatic Support in Slack.

Now that your new team member can access the platform, it's time for a crash course in all things Prismatic. To help, we've created lots of content to help get new folks up and running in the platform. We offer thoughtful and actionable docs, step-by-step video tutorials for integration building, extensive pre-built templates, and a GitHub example repo filled with projects.

Our extensive docs are a great place to start:

For video tutorials, we offer:

On GitHub:

  • Visit our public repo for low-code and code-native integration templates, custom component examples, and common API queries for user and integration management.

In Prismatic:

  • Try one of our new pre-built templates. We've pre-built templates with some of our most popular connectors so users don't have to start from a blank canvas. Quickly create an integration using Slack, Google Calendar, Dropbox, Salesforce, or see our best practices for batch file processing or creating a FIFO queue.

When you're ready to add new team members to alerting and monitoring groups, you can simply edit existing groups to add your new users and they'll automatically be added to each alert monitor the group is already attached to.

And last but not least, the Prismatic CS team is ready to help onboard your new team members. Reach out via email or in your Slack channel with any questions. Our team of account managers, support engineers, and developer advocates are happy to answer any questions and enable your team's success in Prismatic!

Integration specification template

Crafting clear and detailed integration requirements is key to speeding up your product's time to market. It helps reduce development, deployment, and support costs while ensuring your end users are delighted with the results.

To help your team streamline this process, we've created a specification template that guides you in establishing a consistent, repeatable approach to integration requirements.

Write-only inputs

In certain cases, it may be beneficial to set a connection input to write-only – allowing users to enter information like API keys or passwords, but preventing them from viewing it later. You can now designate any connection input as write-only.

For more details on write-only connection inputs, check out our documentation.

Component spotlight

Prismatic is pleased to announce the release of our latest component: Bill. Bill.com is a cloud-based platform that automates back-office financial operations for small and midsize businesses.

Prismatic's component allows users to build custom integrations between their platform and Bill faster and with less development time. Built for the Bill API, Prismatic's component features actions for vendor management, invoicing, billing, and customer administration.

This new connector joins a suite of other Prismatic-built components like Gusto, Sage Intacct, and Xero that are focused on customer and financial operations.

Connector updates

We are continuously adding to and updating our connector library. Check out the following connectors we've added recently:

New connectors

  • Bill – Manage bank accounts, invoices, bills, and more.
  • Typeform – Deploy forms and manage the responses in real time.

Updated connectors

  • PDF – Added actions to return text from a document.
  • Shopify – Added inventory level actions.

Want expert assistance on these new connectors or your next integration? Schedule a build session with the Prismatic team. We'd love to help!
