We’re excited to bring you external log streaming in this update! You can now easily stream your Prismatic logs into whichever service you already use. Step inputs also have some powerful new capabilities, and there’s another round of new components to save you time connecting to common applications.
Product Updates
Log Streaming. You probably already use a logging service like DataDog, Splunk, or New Relic. Now you can stream your Prismatic integration logs to whichever service you use. This enables easier troubleshooting and lets you incorporate your integration data into your log service's metrics, dashboards, and alerting systems.
Expressions Step Input. You can now reference multiple config variables, step results, and static strings for step input using templated expressions. This lets you concatenate config variables, text, and step results together, without needing an additional step to do the concatenation. It's helpful for dynamically generating URLs, queries, messages, and more.
New Components
We're constantly growing Prismatic's component catalog to save you time building integrations. We've recently added:
- Asana: Manage users, projects, and teams in your Asana workspace
- Monday: Manage boards, items, and columns inside your Monday account
- Microsoft Project: Make queries to reporting data from a Project Web App instance
- New Relic: Easily manage metrics, logs, and events
- Tableau: Manage projects and workbooks in your Tableau site
- Zendesk: Manage tickets and users in Zendesk
Wrapping an API in a Component
Component authors are frequently asked to implement a series of API calls for a third-party service. Check out our Quickstart and learn how to write a custom component that wraps an HTTP-based third-party API.
Easier Software Integrations with Constant Variables
Prismatic CEO and cofounder Michael Zuercher joined the Constant Variables podcast this month. They discussed how you know you need an embedded iPaaS, dealing with difficult times as an entrepreneur, and closing deals.
