In this workshop
Your team needs control over the integration experience inside your product: your components, design system, navigation, and setup logic that fit how your customers work. Prismatic's headless SDK gives you that control. Your product renders marketplace listings, connect flows, and configuration pages with its own components. Prismatic manages configuration state, validation, connections, server functions, deployment, and versioning underneath.
In this workshop, Bryan Kegley (Principal Software Engineer) and Taylor Reece (Developer Experience Engineer) will talk through architecture and the problems our new SDK solves. Bryan will provide a behind-the-scenes look at how the SDK works, and Taylor will build what it makes possible: fully-custom integration marketplace and deployment experiences.
Walk away knowing how to
- Build or update code-first (code-native) integrations that define their own configuration requirements and provide server functions to fetch data for custom UIs dynamically.
- Create a rich configuration experience for your end users using native UI elements.
- Present an integration marketplace in multiple ways, including as a series of cards or as a list view, with one-click-connect buttons that authorize, configure, and deploy an integration.
- Build a configuration page with your own components, with dropdowns and previews powered by server functions.
- Keep credentials on Prismatic while your front end calls server functions for dynamic data.
- Ship a new configuration version and migrate existing instances without reconfiguring from scratch.
